About Us

Nora Bradford owner/director of Nora’s Play School has been working with young children for over 20 years and is a credentialed preschool teacher. With all that said she has a great passion for working with children and nurturing the growth and development process that in this day and age can be very stressful on small children.
Miss Amanda is pursuing higher education in order to become the director of Nora’s Play School one day and at the current time is the head-teacher. She began her journey over five years ago in 2003 while still attending High School and working in our family preschool program. Children respond to her loving, caring, and gentle ways with such eagerness to learn what Teacher Amanda has on the agenda for them.
Miss Katie is also seeking higher education in early childhood development. She is a great asset to our little school with her kind and sensitive nature, she has developed a trust between the children and herself.

History
|
| |
Nora's Play School started in 2003 as a large family preschool/childcare on Walker Drive in Grass Valley. The preschool curriculum back then and today has always focused on making learning fun. It was the children who actually named the school Nora's Play School. We moved in 2006 and relocated in the Cedar Ridge area and then in 2007 moved to its current location at 501 South Auburn Street in Grass Valley. Though the preschool is now a center, we have not lost our original roots of a family style atmosphere. As far as centers go, we are the smallest center in Grass Valley which allows us to maintain a more personal level with each child yet still have the amenities of those of a large facility.
